The French link mouthpiece has two joints that distribute pressure over the tongue and the bars of the mouth which does not interfere with the roof of the horse's mouth. Tongue pressure is encouraged to move the horse more on the bit with bar and lip pressure. It also aides in keeping the horse away from leaning on the bit. The bit is also more moveable in the horse's mouth for added contact with your horse and is effective on horse's that may lean onto the bit.
