I finally found a saddle my ho

I finally found a saddle my horse likes! He has really tall withers so I still use a wither pad in addition but now he moves well and will even run in his gait.

Usually he bites me when I try to saddle him and won"t walk in a straight line or won"t trot or gait.

But in this saddle he does not bite, he even volunteers to trot and move into his gait. I do not have to ask for anything special and there it is!

He has been so hard to fit and this was priced right to give it a try.

What a change. Poor boy, no wonder his last owners had such a hard time with him. They thought he was a quarter horse, so his saddles always hurt. No wonder he would bite them.

We have been using an English saddle set farther back and that worked for a few tries. And we have used a thick bareback pad. That is more comfortable but not for long enough as it does not have the support to get me off of his spine.

This saddle is constructed to fit his freakish build. He is not built like non-gaited horses. We think he is a Tennessee Walker. This saddle is comfortable for him and for me.

It is light weight and easy for me to put up on him, he is kinda tall. I find the seat a bit hard for me but a gel pad fixed that right up.

We are now having a great time!
