So comfortable & looks just like the pictures
I’ll start this off with the weight.. overall, it is a pretty heavy saddle so I don’t think I would recommend it for an older person for trail or someone with a bad back/arm/etc. (go for synthetic in that case! Trust me! Muuuch lighter) this saddle is a lot heavier than my old saddle.
I was having issues with my old saddle because I have a Tennessee Walker which are pretty well known to have very high withers and a more narrow build.. my old one was way too wide. (Full QHB)
This saddle which is Semi QHB fits him ALOT nicer & the swell doesn’t sit directly on his withers like my old one does.
As far as comfortablility, I have sat in B Bar B saddles, Wintec, circle Y, the list goes on.. but none of them compare to how comfortable this saddle really is! My butt no longer goes numb after 15 minutes in the saddle lol!
Now for the cons-
For starters, it is VERY complicated to adjust the stirrups. Atleast on one side it is... the mixture of unbroken-in leather and trying to slide the piece down to lock the stirrup length in place & it not going down far enough no matter how much I pry isn’t the best or safest.
As for the breast collar, of course it is very stiff. And for my narrow built horse, is just way too big for me to use right now. So it will probably sit in the tack trunk for a while.
The material overall of the saddle is very nice and flashy, however.. I am worried about how the saddle will look in the long run. Just from adjusting my new saddle to fit me & my horse... it has caused some lines that I fear will progress into some unsightly cracks in the leather. But I guess we’ll see!
Hope this was detailed enough for the people out there like me that need extra details before they drop a bunch of money :)
