The Kane County Mounted Rangers are an affiliate of the Kane County Forest Preserve and Kane County Search and Rescue. They are a volunteer organization the patrols the forest preserves of Kane County, IL acting to deter crime, enhance public safety, assist with parking and crowd control, participate in local parades, and assist in search and rescue. The search and rescue operate under the guidance of the LaSalle County Ground Search and Rescue Unit. This volunteer organization is a valuable asset to the Kane County Forest Preserve.
Recently, the Mounted Rangers underwent a certification training for search and rescue. SaddleOnline staff was on hand during and took part during the certification process along with the volunteers. SaddleOnline is locally located in Bensenville, IL. Run by equine enthusiasts, SaddleOnline's goal is to provide high quality saddles and tack at reasonable prices to the equestrian world. SaddleOnline is committed to helping out our local equine organizations and charities, like the Kane County Mounted Search and Rescue Team. A extremely comfortable and intricately hand tooled pleasure saddle with matching breast collar and headstall were donated to the Kane County Mounted Rangers to be auctioned off during this certification event. 100% of the proceeds from this saddle went to the Kane County Mounted Rangers Search and Rescue. An award certificate was presented by Officer Lance Spurling to SaddleOnline staff members for their generosity during this event (see posted pictures of the event).
