Loop end can be pulled open or closed like a lariat, allowing you to tie your horse up safely and securel. Halter will not tighten if the horse pulls back knots lock up. Knots work great for training because they are right on the pressure points.  Rope halter helps  in preventing your horse from learning to pull back. Pliable won't chafe your horses head.
